Important Updates

  • The priority filing date for the 2024-25 FAFSA and CADAA has been extended to May 2, 2024. Visit Apply for Financial Aid for details.
  • The Department of Education has announced they will send information from the 2024-25 FAFSA to schools in mid-March. This may result in a delay in financial aid packaging and offers for the 2024-25 academic year. While awaiting your financial aid offer, we encourage you to utilize the UC Davis Financial Aid Estimator to estimate your potential aid.

Quarter Abroad

UC Davis Quarter Abroad programs offer students a chance to earn units directly from the UC Davis course catalog while participating in quarter-length programs designed and led by a UC Davis faculty and taught in an international setting.

UC Davis Quarter Abroad Programs are open to all UC students.

If you are receiving University grants such as the UC Grant or UC Blue & Gold, these funds are awarded based on the cost of attendance at UC Davis and do not increase even though abroad programs have costs higher than UC Davis’ standard cost.

UC Davis Students

The Study Abroad Office determines the cost of each program. Financial Aid and Scholarships will utilize cost information provided by the Study Abroad Office to adjust your overall Cost of Attendance on MyAwards. You can then utilize financial aid, scholarships, and loans to help cover your abroad expenses. Non-UC Davis Students

Students attending any of the UC campuses may apply to participate in a UC Davis Quarter Abroad program. You must go through the UC Intercampus Visitors Program (ICV) and obtain prior approval from both your Home and Host UC campus. For more information about the ICV process, please contact the Office of the University Registrar at your home campus. To be considered for financial aid, you must include the UC Davis federal school code, 001313, on your current year's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA).  Financial aid is determined and awarded based on your FAFSA or CADAA eligibility, in addition to UC Davis’ standard cost of attendance. You can utilize financial aid such as scholarships and loans to help cover your abroad expenses.
