The application process starts by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA). The priority filing date for these financial aid applications is March 2 of each year. Ensure the UC Davis School Code (001313) is listed.
What to Expect After Filing a Financial Aid Application
- Upon filing a FAFSA, students will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal processor. To check the status of an application, visit Federal Student Aid. If an email confirmation has not been received, the application may not have been successfully completed.
- FAFSA filers must ensure their SSN is on file with the University to be considered for financial aid.
- If a CADAA has been filed, log in to dream.csac.ca.gov to view the SAR or to check the status of an application.
- Students with a valid SAR should log into MyAwards to view the UC Davis aid package and requirements for the upcoming year during the following months. Information will be available in MyAwards by:
