Award

Each Fellowship supports one to two (1-2) years of graduate study in any field and in any advanced degree-granting program in the United States.  Each award is for up to $25,000 in stipend support, as well as 50% of required tuition and fees, up to $20,000 per year, for one to two (1-2) years

Eligibility

1. Must not be older than 30 years old at the time of applying.

2. Must apply as a college senior who will graduate with the academic year, or as a student who already holds a bachelor’s degree but is not beyond the second year of a graduate degree program.

3. Student must be a “New American,” which is defined as any of the following: 

• A student who is a green card holder.

• A student who is a naturalized citizen born abroad.

• A student who is a child of a naturalized citizen born abroad.

• A student has been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA certified) – this is new eligibility for the program.

Candidate Profile

Students who apply should have demonstrated creativity, originality, and initiative in their lives along with demonstrated commitment to and capacity for accomplishment that requires drive and sustained effort. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to the values expressed in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. 

Students should select graduate programs that are relevant to their long-term career goals and will provide value in enhancing the future creativity and accomplishment of the student. Applicants should also show continued contributions that will mark the candidate as a leading and influential figure within their endeavor.

Campus Procedure
